Changes introduced in Apple's latest version of OS-X code-named Lion will prevent authentication and connection to our servers until there is an update patch (not yet released).  It will also break some Time Machine setups for Mac users.

Until the latest patches are available, users who install OS-X Lion will find they have no access to files on our servers.

Please do not deploy Lion on University connected Apple Macs - it doesn't really offer anything of any use outside the domestic environment, and also be aware that use of Apple's iCloud may allow secure data to be available when it shouldn't be.
